When life gets confusing
What is my default?
When I can't see where I'm going
When life seems to be unraveling
What is my default?

I default back to me
I think I can control any and everything
I default back to me
There's no way you can handle everything
I default back to me

With one word you began to create
With one woman you came to this world
With one cross you died a sinners death
With one tomb you proved you are enough

Help me default to you
I know you control any and everything

I got a call today
And everything started slipping away
It shouldn't be like this
I am a victim of a world in remiss

My composure is dropping
My anxiety is rising
My world seems to have dimmed
I'm caught off guard
But you, you're not surprised

You saw this coming
You were not surprised
This was your plan
Perfect, no need to be revised
I'm the only one
Interfering with your plan
You don't need me
But use me, you definitely can

That call seems so far away
You answered my prayers today
I don't know what to do
But my eyes are forever on you

I minister but I am not my ministry

I will not be defined by my circumstance
I will not let my illness control me, no
I have passions, I have dreams
I want to change the world I see
I refuse to give up the dreams God has placed in my heart
I refuse to dwell on self pity
I will learn to live with this
I will learn to be content
My illness is done bringing me down
I refuse to be stopped now x2

No matter how much I try
I can't prove to myself this isn't a part of me
No matter how much I wish
I can't will this out of my body

Please Lord, help me overcome
Oh please Lord, give me your strength
Teach me to run, into your arms
Save me, before I self destruct
