About me...

I was born into a loving Christian family. I lived in Vestaburg, Michigan for the first 6 years of my life and then my family moved to Perry, Michigan where I currently reside. My dad has been a pastor for 24 years and my mom is a medical transcriptionist. I have one sister who is 5 years older than I am. I have attended Vestaburg elementary, Perry elementary, Lakeside Christian and Perry High along with brief home-schooling. I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior when I was 6 years old realizing that I am a sinner and only through Christ's death on the cross and Resurrection can I be with Him forever in heaven. I dedicated my life to God on the mission field in Honduras and have been following hard after Him ever since. I attended Word of Life Bible Institute for one amazing year. I have been to more doctors than I could possibly count, taken more tests than the average 3 human beings combined, and explained my illness 90% more than I would have liked.
My passion is in music. I love to sing and hope to one day become a singer. I play the guitar and piano...poorly. I love writing, especially songs. I have written a lot about POTS. =] I also love photography. I take my camera just about everywhere I go. Check out my work alymariephotography.weebly.com  I love Volleyball and play when I can (or when the phrase 'this probably isn't wise' has been manually blocked from my brain. My favorite color is Hot pink, my walls are proof of that. They are also proof of my love for photography, travel, and being creative. I love being creative; scrap booking, writing, singing, painting, designing, etc. I love movies and TV as those are the only things that can keep my mind off of how I am feeling when I am particularly potsy. I love having deep meaningful conversations with my friends and exploring random and beautiful new places. I love learning more about my Savior and seeing all He has done in and through my life.
I want to inspire people with music. I want to write and sing songs that challenge how people think and feel. I have a strong passion for the church and seeing it grow to it's full potential. I want to be part of the solution in this growing church problem we are facing in America. Along with my music career I want to be a speaker, I want to write Bible Study material, I want to be involved in missions work, I want to be used by God in any and all ways He puts on my heart. I don't know exactly how He is going to fuse all of my dreams and passions into a ministry He can use but I do know He's gonna do it and I can't wait to be a part of it.
